I just finished an appearance on Melnick and Greco Fantasy Sports radio show broadcasting live from Mickey Mantle's Restaurant in NYC. Thank you guys and keep up the great work. On to the "Spring Training Boxscores: Fantasy Notes" for March 21, 2008. Unrivaled starting SS for the Baltimore Orioles, Luis Hernandez, stole his second base of the Spring. I can't imagine a scenario where anything Hernadez does makes me draft him for my team. Francisco Cordero pitched the 9th for the Reds. He was set-up by David Weathe... lire la suite

Seeing how the economy sucks and people's jobs on the line,do you still have the same interest in fantasy sports? Are you gong to be participating in 3 or more fantasy FB drafts coming up for a $100 bucks a pop or are you cutting back? Do you really care what that guy behind his keyboard is saying, who knows pretty much less then you?
As part of an agreement between SBNation and AOL, each SBNation football blog is hosting their own AOL Fanhouse Fantasy Football League. Originally Fake Teams had been left out of this deal, but after a discussion with the SBNation Leadership involving torches and a pitchfork, they agreed to incorporate our Fake Teams League into the promotion.
The Fake Teams AOL Fanhouse League drafted on Saturday and it was as crazy as you’d expect a 16 team IDP draft to be. I’ll review the first three picks for some selected teams. Remember, in a 16 team draft the first 48 players only make up three rounds. In a 12 team league you’d get these players in four rounds, in a ten team league they would make up almost five full rounds.
Good morning and happy Monday! If you are morbidly depressed that it is Monday, take solace in the fact that NFL PRO FOOTBALL IS ONLY 2. WEEKS AWAY! Of course, with the start of the real season comes the start of the fantasy season. Many weeks ago, I posted an announcement that SB Nation and AOL Fanhouse were teaming up to create this:
We are now almost half way through the regular season in Fantasy Football, so it is time for the mid-season update on the Stampede Blue Fantasy Football League. I have started the season 5-1, thanks in large part to Reggie Wayne, Brandon Jacobs, and Marshawn Lynch. I also want to pat myself on the back for the great Waiver Wire pickup of Jason Elam this past week, getting me 5 FGS on my way to victory.
It's getting be that time folks, and this year we have much more to offer in way of. gimme a drumroll, Ringo). FANTASY FOOTBALL! SB Nation has partnered with AOL Fanhouse to create SB Nation The Fanhouse Leagues. Each SB Nation football blog has created a league specific for their blog.
Invites were just recently sent out of this year's Stampede Blue FFL, which is sponsored by AOL Fanhouse. For our blog alone, almost 100 people signed up. So, AOL had to do a drawing to see who could join. I was allowed to reserve spots for certain Stampede Blue vets and contributors (like mgrex30 and shake n bake), but many slots were given to people sort of at random.
BBS gave a good summary of what is happening in the Stampede Blue FFL, and I thought I'd supplement that with the actual standings after week 4. Here are the standings: Nobody is undefeated (although I was close, but lost to the King). BBS has a ton of points, but keeps playing the guy with the most points.
I'm 4-6 in our league. So, this week's game against LolJags was big for me. I am currently beating LolJags 110 to 70. Hey, I started Peyton Manning and Joseph Addai. I also threw in some Michael Turner and some Hines Ward. Yet, despite me kicking the snot out of LolJags, FleaFlicker thinks LolJags is a better fantasy coach than me:
