Hey all! Thanks for tuning in to our Digg Townhall on Tuesday night. Keep the feedback coming! If you missed it, you can catch the past Townhalls at digg.com/townhall. Be sure to mark your calendar for a few upcoming events — Digg is coming to The Big Apple for Internet Week and we’re teaming up with Revision3 to throw a Digg Meet-up and live Diggnation on June 4th. Join us at Studio B in Brooklyn from 6pm-midnight to meet fellow Diggers and folks from the Digg team. There will also be a performance by Scam School’s Brian Brushwood, special guests and announcements. For a sneak peek into what to expect, check out some highlights from our first Digg Meet-up in San Francisco, below: digg_url = 'http://blog.digg.com/?p=124'; digg_skin = "compact"; digg_title = 'Digg Townhall and Meet-up News'; digg_topic = "tech_news";
If you’re following the US 2008 Presidential Elections, you should check out . We’ve created this page so you can track what the candidates are up to as the primary season approaches. Whether you support them or are merely curious, when you add one or more candidates as a friend you can track their Digg activity. Candidates with the most friends will bubble up to the top of the candidate page and you’ll be able to see a feed of all the candidate’s Digging activity in one place. digg_url = 'http://blog.digg.com/?p=99'; digg_skin = "compact"; digg_title = ' '; digg_topic = "tech_news";
The Wall Street Journal Online is adding Digg buttons across the entire site, and you’ll now have full (free) access to the articles submitted to Digg. The Digg buttons have started appearing on WSJ.com articles tonight. Digg on. digg_url = 'http://blog.digg.com/?p=98'; digg_skin = "compact"; digg_title = ''; digg_topic = "tech_news";
Just wanted to give you a status update on the Digg images project. As we’ve been cranking on this project we’re also improving the taxonomy of the site. Soon you’ll be able to submit your images, videos, or news stories to a universal taxonomy. This will allow you to see all media types in a given topic, or see just one media type at a time (i.e. just viewing images under sports). Everyone here at Digg is focused on turning this live as soon as physically possible, and we’re working weekends to make this happen. digg_url = 'http://blog.digg.com/?p=97'; digg_skin = "compact"; digg_title = ''; digg_topic = "tech_news";
Since we launched Digg Labs a while back, many of you have been asking for our Digg Labs applications as screensavers. We’re happy to say they’re now available for your viewing pleasure. You can now pimp out your desktop and catch more of the good stuff submitted to Digg every day. Check out screensavers from your favorite Digg Labs applications, which you can download from the individual project pages: digg_url = 'http://blog.digg.com/?p=96'; digg_skin = "compact"; digg_title = ''; digg_topic = "tech_news";
The Digg team is excited to launch new Digg user profiles later tonight, the first of many cool new features rolling out this year. We’ve completely revamped our profiles from the ground up - making it easy for you to share your favorite stories and discover new interesting content by seeing what your friends are digging. It’s also even easier to find and add friends on Digg.
Thanks to Kurt Wilms and the other Digg developers who’ve helped make all of this happen. As Kevin described, we’ve got loads of stuff coming down the pipes that we’re working on in parallel right now. digg_url = 'http://blog.digg.com/?p=92'; digg_skin = "compact"; digg_title = ''; digg_topic = "tech_news";

Hey everyone - I wanted to give you a heads-up before the official announcement is made later today. We’ve signed on Microsoft as our new partner to sell and serve the ads on Digg. It’s a deal similar to the one Facebook signed with Microsoft last year. This move gives us an advertising partner with a larger organization and a more scalable technology platform to keep pace with Digg’s growth. Best of all, it lets the Digg team completely focus on new feature development. Federated Media, which has been an awesome partner for the last year and a half, will continue working with Digg focusing on integrated sponsorships and custom programs like the Arc project in labs.
