50 Responses to “[RESOLVED] - Transaction history not showing on thewebsite” Yeah, also buy L transactions are not going through either. I am about to cancel my premium account, weee. Thanks for fixing the transaction history, but I’m getting the same problems as #2. Please let us buy L$ so we can pay our rent and stuff · 12 SecondLife - How To Make Money In Second Life » [RESOLVED] - Transaction history not showing on the website Says: That does not require much time or a Ph.D. in Quantum Mechanics or even String Theory. [Resolved - 3:45 PM (PST)] The database has been corrected and Transaction Histories are available once again. There are issues currently affecting the database which may result in the inability to view Transaction History. It is being addressed and should be resolved shortly. Please keep an eye on this blog for more information as it becomes available.
[UPDATE] The problem is working itself out and it should be once again ok to make purchases and money transactions. If you made a transaction and it did not appear to complete, please check your transaction history on the website and contact the person you paid/bought the item from to confirm that they did not receive the L$ or to request a possible replacement for items not received.
Hamilton, does this have anything to do with the website being unhappy? Those problems seem to have started around the same time... p.s. i don’t want that to sound like my own ‘glossing over’ the situation; i’ve had ’severe’ inventory loss myself (at least, not with my own products/inventory that i have backed up, but with other inworld sellers’ products i had in inventory/rezzed out inworld/lost to risky situations, bad timing when the ‘official word’ was ‘do not rez non-copy items’, etc etc...) How about an update on the 503 problem that is plaguing the forums, making accessing transaction history dicey, along with, apparently, buying money (and possibly even signing up for sl)? Is there a way for vendors to verify when we lose items? I would love to be able to show a vendor that the 6000L object that I bought from them is gone from my inventory so that they could replace it. I realize and accept they would be reluctant to do so without proof of the actual loss. I can show the transaction record but this is often not enough to prove actual loss. Any suggestions? Those of us who post here occasionally find ourselves in the position of play-by-play announcers. We think it’s important to let you know that we’re aware of a problem as quickly as possible, instead if letting it sit until we can blog a tidy post mortem.Because problems in a heavily distributed environment can be subtle and difficult to thoroughly trace, we sometimes have to relay unpleasant surprises (in the form of the infamous [RE-UN-RESOLVED] tags) as our tech team closes in iteratively on an operational glitch.Having said all that: These intermittent failures with our Website seem to be setting some kind of record for aggravation. Here’s what we know so far:
One unpleasant surprise about switching to USAA from Washington Mutual is that I could no longer download all my transactions in .CSV format. When I was with WaMu, this made it very easy to import all my banking into my tricked out Excel sheet I use to manage my finances. USAA only lets you download in Quicken or Microsoft Money's proprietary formats. Cutting and pasting the transactions as they appear on the website, even in Print mode, still is less than perfect. What I found out though is you can use a personal finance management site like Mint or Wesabe to do most of the grunt work for you. UPDATE: Reader Stephen pointed out there is a handy link at the bottom of the USAA page that lets you export as .CSV. I didn't see this link because I was looking at the "download fund activity link," which doesn't have a .CSV option. 1 Click export at the bottom of your transaction list P.S. USAA, and all banks, please enable .CSV downloads for transaction histories. Not everyone wants to shell out for a proprietary budget making program, especially when they keep making you pay every two years for pointless forced upgrades.
[RESOLVED 2008-04-18 9:40am PST] - All issues are now resolved and you should be able to resume activities as normal, including website access. The website is also reporting the grid status as down and is, at times, preventing access to the Support Portal (as well as other areas). We are working as quickly as possible to restore services to their normal capacity.
Website related issues include the Friends List not working and difficulties logging into the Support Portal. Within Second Life residents are having difficulties viewing group members list and periodically seeing “Can’t Authenticate” error messages when purchasing land, objects or L$.
Nathan's been having trouble this week buying a prepaid GoPhone from AT&T Mobility's website. He finally found out the reason: they couldn't verify his credit history. This is confusing because it's a prepaid GoPhone and because his credit history is superb. "Cheryl refused to transfer me. I asked her if she was in any way motivated to find out what was wrong with their system and help me, and, to her credit, she answered honestly with a simple 'no.'" After several more calls and nearly an hour on hold I finally got to speak with supervisor Cheryl Johnson in the web store order processing department. Ms. Johnson then informed me that my orders were being cancelled because they had been unable to verify my credit history. This raises two interesting questions for which she had no answers: 1) What is suddenly wrong with my credit history in AT&T's eyes? I've ordered from them without any problems in the past, and my score is in the upper 700s. 2) Why is AT&T performing a credit history check on a GoPhone purchase in the first place? Everything is prepaid and there is absolutely no chance that anyone attempting to establish a new prepaid account could possibly defraud them in any way. That's kinda what "prepaid" means. So, beware: if you buy an AT&T GoPhone online they will make some ham- handed attempt at accessing your credit history. Why does AT&T need to check credit scores for something that doesn't include extending a line of credit? How is it that a secretly-derived score can prevent a customer from concluding a transaction, but nobody on AT&T's side is willing to help solve the customer's problem?
