If you’re following the US 2008 Presidential Elections, you should check out Digg the Candidates. We’ve created this page so you can track what the candidates are up to as the primary season approaches. Whether you support them or are merely curious, when you add one or more candidates as a friend you can track their Digg activity.
The Wall Street Journal Online is adding Digg buttons across the entire site, and you’ll now have full (free) access to the articles submitted to Digg. The Digg buttons have started appearing on WSJ. com articles tonight. Digg on. Kevin digg_url = 'http: blog. digg.
Hey all - Just wanted to give you a status update on the Digg images project. As we’ve been cranking on this project we’re also improving the taxonomy of the site. Soon you’ll be able to submit your images, videos, or news stories to a universal taxonomy. This will allow you to see all media types in a given topic, or see just one media type at a time (i.
Since we launched Digg Labs a while back, many of you have been asking for our Digg Labs applications as screensavers. We’re happy to say they’re now available for your viewing pleasure. I’ve had some development versions running on my computer for the past few weeks and I’m sometimes genuinely reluctant to wake my computer from sleep — first I get mesmerized by how good it looks and then I get sucked into all of the great content and patterns that emerge.
Hey everyone, The Digg team is excited to launch new Digg user profiles later tonight, the first of many cool new features rolling out this year. We’ve completely revamped our profiles from the ground up - making it easy for you to share your favorite stories and discover new interesting content by seeing what your friends are digging.
Following up on Kevin’s post from last week, we’ve gone live with improvements to our home page that allow you to see both news and videos on a single page. We’ve gotten a lot of feedback that the videos are entertaining but people miss them because they’re isolated. Bringing them back into the stream on the homepage will hopefully bring more life to videos on the site.
Hey everyone - over the last few months we’ve been working on some new features based on your feedback. The development team is hard at work on multiple concurrent projects (home page, images, comments, etc. which we’ll be releasing over the coming months. We’ll soon be rolling out improvements to the home page that allow you to see all content, including news and videos, on a single page we call “All”.
Hey everyone – I wanted to give you a heads-up before the official announcement is made later today. We’ve signed on Microsoft as our new partner to sell and serve the ads on Digg. It’s a deal similar to the one Facebook signed with Microsoft last year. This move gives us an advertising partner with a larger organization and a more scalable technology platform to keep pace with Digg’s growth.
Hi All, Just wanted to let you all know that we’re working hard to remove the obtrusive ads on Digg. We’re not cool with auto-playing audio ads, as you found on the site today. Right now the process for removing these ads takes time. Once we find the ad, we need to work with our ad partner to nail down the source, then block it from reoccurring on the site.
Hey Everyone, We’ve been hard at work improving the comments system based on your feedback. We’re looking forward to rolling out an easier, more lightweight and speedy system soon. Before we go too far down the path of locking down these features, we’d like to hear what you think of the proposed changes.
We’re excited about The Digg Reel, a new Internet TV show making its debut on Revision3 today. Hosted by the knowledgeable and lovely Jessica Corbin, the show highlights short clips from popular videos posted by all of you on Digg, along with comments from the community and stories behind the videos.
Just wanted to give everyone some insight into some of the changes we’ve been making this week. As we’ve talked about in the past, Digg’s promotional algorithm ensures that the most popular content dugg by a diverse, unique group of diggers reaches the home page. Our goal is to give each person a fair chance of getting their submission promoted to the home page.
Thanks everyone for your comments on our video preview of the new upcoming comments system. Now that we’ve had some time to digest all of your feedback, here are some of the changes we’re planning to include into this release, based directly on your feedback: Ability to change your up/down vote for a comment
Hey folks, Digg has joined the DataPortability Project, a group of websites cooperating to help you securely use your data however you want. Why? Because you own your data. It's that simple. From the start, Digg has supported the idea that you own your own data. Want to sync your Digg friends network with another service?

We're holding the first of these the evening of Monday February 25th, where Kevin and I will give an update on what's happening at Digg, discuss topics that you propose, and answer your questions.
