Don’t fear the Obama

NYT joins the VRWC. OK. That’s an exaggeration. But the New York Times raised a good question today. Democratic Sen. Barack Obama canceled a trip to visit wounded soldiers in Germany. Instead he used the time for a workout and a CNN interview. Republican Sen. John McCain’s campaign took Obama to task, saying the visit was a photo op that was canceled when the Pentagon would not allow a retired general on Obama’s campaign staff to accompany Obama. Like most every other media outlet, the Times let Obama’s people respond. It was a tortured excuse that requires the suspension of disbelief.
