Well, I guess it had to happen sooner or later. For the first time, Seth Godin is releasing a new book, and I won’t be buying it. Steve Mann, who’s leading social media strategy at SAP joined us, and lastly myself.
At least for Copyblogger, that is. It’s been a good run. From last fall, I’ve grown this blog from 6,000 subscribers to close to 29,000. My strategy for 2007 relied on appealing to social media news and bookmarking sites, plus the goodwill of bloggers around the world who thought my content was worth mentioning.

Ordinarily I find "money tricks of millionaires" lists to be sort of annoying and unhelpful, but this one, found on the Dumb Little Man productivity blog, and based on a book called 'The Millionaire Mind' by Dr. Thomas J. Stanley, is an exception. It offers one bit of practical advice that I think everyone should at least consider.
Instant messaging service Meebo will today announce $25 million in funding from JAFCO Ventures, KTB Ventures and Time Warner, which spent $850 million to buy social network Bebo in March. Meebo founder Seth Sternberg only began looking for more funding that same month, hiring Montgomery & Co and hoping to raise $25 million to $30 million to set the company's value at $250 million.
This ad is bad enough due to the disturbing, creepy and regressively gendered messages, and lots of people are talking about that. To be clear, I don’t see myself supporting the idea that having men buy things for you is some kind of grand life achievement (one to be impressed by! no matter what the context.
Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane is the highest paid writer/producer in Hollywood and, as of today, he's also one of the most THC-free. One of the last times I was stoned, I was convinced that I would die unless I kept moving my body.
Seth Gilbert submits: Apple (AAPL) and retailer Best Buy (BBY) got cozy with a “store within a store” pilot project a couple years ago. After a successful test, the pilot became a full-fledged roll out. Last week, Best Buy finished another project: a long effort to upgrade its cell phone sales department.
Seth was recently contacted by Buy. com and told that due to an error, an order he placed over a year ago had a balance due. They'll be debiting his credit card "on or about 09/22/08. Seth emailed them back to ask why they were just now settling the billing issue—surely it hadn't taken them this long to notice it.
Shield your eyes, chubby-chasers, feeder-scenesters, and general bear aficionados. Everyone else: Behold, the new, lean n' mean Seth Rogen! The word "schlub" will barely enter your mind as you gaze upon the Zack & Miri Make a Porno star, who's whittled his trademark softserve physique—the one Katherine Heigl once lowered her standards enough to copulate with!

Bear Stearns and Comscore recently put out a report on ecommerce for the holiday season.
