I am pleased to announce the release of Zend Framework 1. now available for download on the framework website. This mini-release resolves 79 known issues and provides some additions to functionality.
It is my pleasure to announce the availability of Zend Framework 1. Preview Release! This release showcases features that will be introduced in the final 1. release. We’ve gotten a lot of feedback since the 1. release of Zend Framework in June. Wil Sinclair has been a busy man of late. In addition to getting ready for the 1. release of Zend Framework and recording a podcast with me, he has taken the time to present 2 different presentations on Zend Framework.

It has been almost a year since the 1. release of Zend Framework. In that time we’ve seen some of the most trafficked sites in the world deployed on ZF, many popular enterprise-oriented projects built with ZF, and some of the greatest times ever had (while coding) using ZF. Since our community has been so great in giving back to the project, we decided it’s the Zend Framework team’s turn to find a new way to give back.

Rob Allen has started a new website to support his and Nick Lo’s upcoming book, “Zend Framework in Action”.
For those of you who missed the fireworks and the marching bands, last week, php| architect announced their next book project, php| architect’s Guide to Programming with the Zend Framework.
Probably my one favorite aspects of Zend Framework is that you can pull pieces out and use them by themselves without having to build a complete MVC installation. Not that building out a complete installation is difficult but there are times when you just need a small piece, not the entire puzzle.
