It is my pleasure to announce the availability of Zend Framework 1. Preview Release! This release showcases features that will be introduced in the final 1. release. The intent of this release is to give our users access to the latest features in Zend Framework and to improve the overall quality of the production release through the feedback we receive.
Probably my one favorite aspects of Zend Framework is that you can pull pieces out and use them by themselves without having to build a complete MVC installation. Not that building out a complete installation is difficult but there are times when you just need a small piece, not the entire puzzle.
Today we released Zend Framework 1. This will be the last maintenance release of the 1. x tree and includes over 100 bug fixes. This release is geared towards users who are running Zend Framework in production and wish to upgrade to the next stable release. In parallel to 1.
