Comme beaucoup, j'ai commis l'erreur d'accepter trop de friends sur Facebook. Au point que le réseau social en question a perdu de son utilité pour moi. On the Internet, popularity often draws the attention of hackers. So it is not surprising that Facebook has become the target of a spate of attacks, just as the membership on the site has swelled to about 100 million active users worldwide. In recent days, many Facebook users have seen a sharp increase in spam, some of it pretty racy.

Despite the rumors, we all know widgetmaker RockYou isn't really worth $400 million. Not with the way ad buyers feel about spending on social media. We hear RockYou's latest investor, Doll Capital Management — which funded the company with another $35 million today — didn't value the company at $400 million either.
Alors que la compétition se prépare petit a petit, les joueurs peuvent actuellement s'en donner a cœur joie sur les titres. EA livre une vidéo .

Facebook finally launched Friend List, a way to organize your friends into different categories. This is not to be confused with the Facebook application Top Friends which allows you to identify your best 32 friends ( an activity fraught with consequences, IMHO). I've been waiting for this feature for a long time, as my Facebook presence is primarily about my public persona.
Michael Parekh points to the Youtube video below and calls it further evidence of Facebook fatigue. I disagree. I’m not a diehard Facebook fanboy, but I’ve done enough consumer internet product management to know that you can’t ask users what they think, you have to watch what they do.
Yahoos are still buzzing about Jeff Weiner's departure for the world of venture capital. Before he left, many of his coworkers thought he was a shoo-in for a CEO gig at Facebook. Now that he's an entrepreneur-in-residence jointly at Accel Partners and Greylock Partners — both investors in Facebook — the conspiracy theorists have changed their patter:
Can a PR guy run an operating system? Silicon Valley's gut reaction: No way. And yet that's what Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg has done in appointing Elliot Schrage, her handpicked flack, to run Facebook's platform. The platform, when it launched a year ago, was hailed as the world's next Windows;
Two interesting posts recently address the issue of the number and strength of online relationships within social networks. First of all, they don’t take you to dinner on a Friday night like Rocky did. Second of all, you might never have met them face-to-face.
Frustrated Googlers have at least one new hire at Facebook worried. Friend of mine from east coast recently interviewed at Facebook. When we met over dinner, I asked her what dept. she interviewed. This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more!
Serious Business founders Siqi Chen and Alex Le created the Facebook application Friends For Sale, which has over 550,000 daily active users. If you run a Web site, you may have a lot of new friends. Last week, site owners learned they could add information about their users from MySpace and Facebook. On Monday, Google introduced its take on the same phenomenon, Google Friend Connect. Google puts two spins on this concept.
L'une des applications les plus populaires de Facebook - Top Friends - vient d'être suspendue à cause d'une faille permettant d'exploiter les données privées des utilisateurs. Une autre faille vient tout juste d'être colmatée dans SuperWall.
